At 7:15 this evening I was putting our fake Christmas tree to bed in the attic for the next 11 months. Yes, we are a fake-tree family. Amanda insisted on a real-tree until the year we bought a real tree from YL in the dark on 12/16/2005. The next morning we looked at it in the light, and the tree had a gaping hole across its entire midsection. She sent me back to get another tree. That was an expensive tree year. That Christmas I finally convinced her how much easier it would be (and cheaper in the long run) to own a nice, fake tree. She acquiesced, and we bought one the day after Christmas for 50% off. Now we have perfectly shaped nine-foot faux Douglas Fir – every Christmas!
(I am working on the flash settings and white levels on my camera – I obviously have more work to do).
